Koros and Kore

This is a Kouros figure from Egyptian archaic times. The body is very stiff and plain, standing in a very conservative position with some very basic human features.

This is another Kouros figure form Egyptian archaic times. Compared to the previous picture this figure looks slightly more like a human in the body but its face is still unrealistic and conservative.

This is a classical figure form Greek times. The features have become much more human and the entire figure looks far more realistic.

This is a figure from the Hellenistic time period. The figures are in over dramatic positions and look very God-like is very unrealistic poses.
